Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-16 · Last updated October 16, 2026
Effective October 16, 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and Giga-Green Technologies, Inc., a North Dakota corporation based in Tucson, Arizona ("LookForParty", "we", "us"), for using LookForParty: our public website, lookforparty.com, and the LookForParty app on the web, iPhone and Android. By creating an account or using LookForParty, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information, and our community guidelines are part of these terms.
LookForParty is under active development
LookForParty is new and changing quickly. We add, change and remove features often, sometimes the same day and without notice beforehand. Screens move, limits change, and a feature you use today may work differently, or not at all, tomorrow. LookForParty may be unavailable while we update it, and we may reset or remove test and demonstration content. We update these terms and our Privacy Policy as LookForParty changes. When a change matters to how you use LookForParty or how we handle your information, the app asks you to accept the new version before you continue.
Who can use LookForParty
- LookForParty is offered only in the United States.
- You must be at least 13. If you're 13 to 17, a parent or guardian has to approve your account, by paying for a Player Plus plan for you or by checking their ID with Persona. If they don't approve it within 14 days, the account is deleted. A parent who approves a teen's account agrees to these terms for them and is responsible for their use of it.
- Some features are for adults only: direct messages, friends, home games, trades, lending, online games and Looking For More (LFM) games, among others. Teens see games and chats that are open to all ages, with stricter content filters.
- Give your real age group when you sign up. Your device works it out from your birth month and year and never sends us the date itself. Giving a false age breaks these terms.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at info@lookforparty.com if you think someone else is using it.
- You can't use LookForParty if we've banned you, or if the law doesn't allow it.
What LookForParty does, and doesn't do
LookForParty helps you find tabletop games, the people to play them with and the stores that host them. Players and stores create the games. We don't run them, attend them, check who comes or vouch for the people or places involved, except where these terms say we do (such as the ID check for hosts of home games). You decide which games to join and who to play with, and you're responsible for your own safety and behavior at a game. Read our safety guide, meet in public places when you can, and report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
Home games, at a player's home, are offered only where we've opened them. Their hosts must pass an ID check, agree to a safety checklist for each game and confirm the game shortly before it starts. Guests must be adults, the host approves each one, and the Private Event Terms shown when you ask to join apply to that game. The host's address is shown only to approved guests, from 24 hours before the game.
Stores and venues
A store or venue owner can claim its listing. We check every claim before anything changes, and we may ask for proof that you run the business. The store is responsible for its own listing, its events, its staff's use of LookForParty and anything it says or sells. Events a store hosts show the store as the host, never the staff member who posted them. Partner venues (such as cafés) are listed by us and can't be claimed.
What you post
You own what you post: your profile, games, messages, reviews, Stash, decklists and the rest. You give us permission to store, copy, show and send it as needed to run LookForParty, for as long as it's on LookForParty and for as long afterwards as our Privacy Policy says we keep it. You're responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it.
Don't post contact details where the app asks you not to (names, notes, listings and chats with teens check for them), personal information about other people, or anything our community guidelines don't allow. We may remove content, and we review reports and act on them as the guidelines describe.
Rules for everyone
- Follow our community guidelines and the law.
- Don't harass, threaten, deceive or endanger anyone, and never contact a teen to move a conversation off LookForParty.
- Don't use LookForParty to sell anything except through Trades, and don't advertise or spam.
- Don't scrape, copy or collect information from LookForParty with automated tools, and don't try to get around a block, a suspension, an age rule, a limit or a security measure.
- Don't test, probe or attack LookForParty's security without our written permission. If you find a security problem, tell us at info@lookforparty.com and give us a chance to fix it.
- Don't pretend to be someone else, a store you don't run, or LookForParty staff.
If you break these rules, we may warn you, remove content, limit what you can do, suspend your account or ban you. Missing games you've said you'd come to counts against you too, as the app explains (three in 30 days brings a warning; five pauses new RSVPs for 14 days). You can appeal a moderation decision from the app, and a different member of our team reviews it.
Messages and chat
Direct messages between adults are end-to-end encrypted, so we can't read them; if you report one, the messages you choose are sent to us with proof they're genuine. Event, group, store and trade chats are encrypted on our servers and can be read by our moderators when something is reported. Chats that include a teen use stricter filters, and chats that mix teens and adults may be paused.
Plans and payments
LookForParty is free to use. Free accounts for adults show some ads; teens never see ads. These paid plans are available:
- Player Plus: $6/month or $50/year. No ads, and extra features.
- Family: $11/month or $100/year, on the web. Player Plus for the adult who pays, one adult they invite, and the teens whose approved accounts name either adult's email.
- Store Pro: $50/month or $500/year, on the web, for stores. Event venues have custom pricing; contact us.
- On the web, payments are handled by Stripe. In the iPhone and Android apps, Player Plus is sold only through Apple or Google, and their terms, cancellations and refunds apply to those purchases. We never see or store your card details.
- Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the web from Manage billing, or in your Apple or Google account settings. When you cancel, your plan stays active, with all its benefits, until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then it ends. Switching between monthly and yearly is charged or credited for the time left.
- No refunds. Payments for plans, including for time you don't use, are not refunded, except where the law requires it. Purchases made through Apple or Google follow their refund rules.
- If a renewal payment fails and isn't fixed, the plan ends 14 days after the first failed payment.
- A parent paying for a teen's Player Plus also approves the teen's account; that payment is how the approval is confirmed.
- If we change a price, the new price applies to your plan from its first renewal after we've told you.
- Free time we give you (such as a free month earned in Rewards, a month without ads for referring friends, or a store's founding months) always has an end date, has no cash value and can't be transferred.
- Prices are in US dollars. You're responsible for any taxes on your purchases.
Trades, lending and money between people
LookForParty never handles money between players or stores. Trade listings, lending, the suggested contribution for a home game's dinner and payment handles are for people to arrange things themselves. We aren't part of any trade, sale, loan or payment between users, we don't check items, and we aren't responsible if something goes wrong. Be careful, and report anything suspicious.
Card data, prices and games
- Card names, images, rules text and prices in the card lookup come from Scryfall. Prices are daily estimates, are shown as a guide only and may be out of date. We don't buy or sell cards and make no promise about what anything is worth.
- Game titles, card names and images, format names and associated marks belong to their owners. LookForParty isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any game publisher or by Scryfall. See our Trademarks page.
- LookForParty is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.
- Game tools (the life counter, game stats, the Game Lounge's games, ratings, rewards and levels) are for fun and have no value outside LookForParty.
LookForParty's name and app
The LookForParty name, logo, app and website belong to Giga-Green Technologies, Inc. You may use LookForParty for your own playing and, for stores, running your store's events. You may not copy, sell, modify or reverse-engineer it, except as the law allows. Feedback and suggestions you send us can be used to improve LookForParty without owing you anything. LookForParty includes open source software, which is under its own licenses; they're listed on the Open source licenses page in the app.
Other companies' services
LookForParty uses other companies to work, including Stripe, Apple, Google, Persona, Expo, Resend, OpenFreeMap and Scryfall, and links to others such as Discord. Their own terms apply to what you do with them, and we aren't responsible for their services.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app's settings. It's deleted after 30 days, so you can change your mind. Cancel any paid plan too: deleting your account doesn't refund time you've paid for, and no refunds are given. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. Parts of these terms that by their nature should continue (such as what you owe us, the disclaimers and the limits on liability) continue after your account ends.
Disclaimers
LookForParty is under active development and is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be available, accurate, secure or free of errors, or that it will suit your needs, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We aren't responsible for the conduct of anyone you meet through LookForParty, online or in person, or for any game, event, store, trade or loan.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of LookForParty, and our total liability for any claim about LookForParty is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is brought against us because of something you posted or did on LookForParty in breach of these terms or the law.
If we disagree
Before bringing any claim, email us at info@lookforparty.com and give us 30 days to try to sort it out with you. Most problems can be fixed that way.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute about them or about LookForParty, are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and the United States, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any claim that isn't resolved by talking to us must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pima County, Arizona, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away any right you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as LookForParty changes, and the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to how you use LookForParty, we'll tell you in the app or by email, and the app asks you to accept the new version before you continue. If you don't agree to it, stop using LookForParty and delete your account.
